Day 2 The Good Shepherd protects me!
Craft Barn(craft time)

Say:    Today we learned about How the Good Shepherd protects us. We will be making a sling shot like the kind of sling shot David used to protect his sheep.

Supplies needed:
Para cord or Shoestrings (or some type of string)
Leather (or canvas type fabric)
Good hole punch (or something to put a hole in the leather)
Duct Tape
Fabric bag (optional) like this one
Paper
Instructions:
·        Cut a rectangle shape (2”x5”) for each child and punch a hole at each end.
·         Attach a string/par cord to each of the holes on the leather/fabric. Let the kids decorate their leather / fabric with markers.
·         Have each of the kids make a few ‘stones’ by taking half a piece of paper and wadding up. Then have them wrap that paper in duct tape.

·        If you have a fabric bag for them to store their sling shot, they could also decorate their bag and put their name on it.

  1. So glad they'll have soft stones. But yeah, they will love this!
