Supplies
Powdered sugar doughnut
Mini Oreos
Icing white and black and pink
Stick pretzels
Instructions:
using the powdered sugar doughnut as a body make a sheep 'face' out of the mini oreo adding eyes with white and black icing. Add pink icing for nose. Add stick pretzels for the legs. Place the 'face' on the doughnut with some white icing. Because of the detail required to make this snack,
It might be a good idea to have extra doughnuts on hand for seconds.

Pretzel rods
Cut up fruit
Talk about how the pretzel rods look like a shepherd’s rod. Shepherd’s use their rods to protect the sheep when something tries to attack them.

Day 3 The Good Shepherd Provides for us!
Snack Suggestions
Snacks that will fit into the basket the children made during craft time….ie grapes, small cookies, fruit snacks
Let the kids fill their basket and then have them enjoy a picnic together. Make sure they take the time to thank God for providing for them.

Supplies needed:
Heart shaped cookie cutters or plastic knives.
Watermelon or other melon fruits(strawberries would work as well)
Instructions:
Allow each child to take some of the melon and use the cookie cutters to cut out heart shapes before they eat them talk about how much The Good Shepherd loves them.

Day 5 The Good Shepherd Invites me to know Him.

Sprinkles(Christmas colors)
Instructions:
Invite the kids to come and celebrate with you and decorate some Christmas cookies together(and of course eat them too!) Talk about some of the symbols of Christmas and how they can remind of the Good Shepherd….ie the candy cane reminds of a shepherd staff. The angel can remind us of God calling the shepherds to the manger, ect.
